There are times when democracy does not meet the
expectations of the people. Sadly there
are times when it fails the people who believe in it. This is when corrupt officials abuse their
position in government and implement policies that limit democracy and the
rights of the people. When services intended for the people are not available
that is another example. The worst
instance is when there is no justice in the system as the guilty goes free and
the innocent gets blamed.
As division of labor increases productivity, it also means that it's cheaper to produce a good. In turn, this translates to cheaper products. If labor is divided between five people who specialise in their task, it becomes quicker and more efficient. In turn, the number of goods produced increases.
