Answer:

the correct option is A. (-5,-7)

like (5,-7) I. e (+,-) lies in the 3rd quadrant and the opposite of 3rd quadrant vertically is the 2nd quadrant.

so, the answer should come as (-,-) according to the 2nd quadrant.

so, answer will be (-5,-7)

I hope it's correct.

When translating a number to the scientific notion (ex: 0.000157), do you count the zero to the left of the decimal point? Like
tankabanditka [31]
Yeah, you’re right, I like to think that when the number is a decimal and I have to put it in scientific notation the exponent next to the 10 is negative and then when the number is a whole number and I have to change it to scientific notation then the exponent next to the ten is positive.

Victoria is counting all of quarters and dimes from the family piggy bank for the month. If there are 12 times as many dimes are
saw5 [17]

Let number of quarters in family piggy bank = x

Let number of dimes in family piggy bank = y

Given that "there are 12 times as many dimes are there are quarters". so we can write equation:

y=12x...(i)

Given that " total change is worth $21.75".

We know that 1 quarter = $0.25 and 1 dime = $0.10

So other equation will be :

0.25x+0.10y=21.75...(ii)

Now we just need to solve both equations.

Plug (i) into (ii)

0.25x+0.10y=21.75

0.25x+0.10(12x)=21.75

0.25x+1.2x=21.75

1.45x=21.75

x=15

plug x=15 into (i)

y=12x=12*15=180

Hence final answer is given as:

Number of quarters in family piggy bank = 15

Number of dimes in family piggy bank = 180

Li Ping says a square with 3 inch sides has greater area than a parallelogram that is not a square but has sides that have the s
Kipish [7]

Answer:

Li Ping's statement makes sense.

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a square with side lengths a inches is given by, A_1 = a^{2}.

Now, the area of a parallelogram with equal sides a inches, which is not a square is given by, A_2 = ah, where, h is the perpendicular distance between the opposite sides.

See the diagram attached.

Since a is the hypotenuse of as right triangle with height h, hence, a > h.

So, A_1 > A_2

Therefore, Li Ping's statement makes sense. (Answer)
