Answer:

Rabindranath Tagore, the writer of our national anthem, was born on May 7, 1861. He was born in a rich and cultured family at Jorasanko in Calcutta (now Kolkata).  His father’s name was Devendranath Tagore and mother’s name was Shardadevi. He is also popularly known as Gurudev. He was the fourteenth child of his parents.

At the age of eleven, his ability to write beautiful verses and to describe any event with clarity came to the knowledge of his headmaster at school. However, he disliked formal schooling. On the insistence of his brother, he went to England to study but returned without completing his studies. He was interested in two main topics: human relationship and his motherland.

Tagore was a great humanist, painter, patriot, poet, playwright, novelist, story-teller, philosopher, and educationist. He travelled extensively in different countries of Europe, America and Asia and delivered lectures in universities and public meeting on education.

His best known work is Gitanjali. He got Nobel Prize for literature in 1913 for this work. Beside poetry, he wrote plays, dance dramas, stories and novels. He founded the Vishwa Bharti University, Shantiniketan. Tagore also created numerous drawings, paintings and songs, for which he wrote the music and lyrics himself. Tagore was a great humanist, painter, patriot, poet, playwright, novelist, story-teller, philosopher, and educationist.

In the first passage, Paine is arguing why monarchies are a poor form of government. Describe why Paine believes that monarchies
anzhelika [568]

Paine asserts that mankind was originally in a state of equality, and, therefore, present inequalities must have been brought about by some circumstance. Paine says that a common distinction that lacks any natural or religious basis, is the division between kings and their subjects. This distinction, unlike those between male and female or good and evil, is not one "of heaven," and Paine wishes to inquire into its origin and its consequences.

What is the difference between the European and the Native American attitudes toward land use and land ownership.
Phantasy [73]
Native Americans were hunter-gatherers, so they saw land as hunting territory, where Europeans saw it as farmland and land to settle on. The native Americans would move around the land to hunt the animals and thus didn't claim land, but the colonist saw it as their land, so it was more important for them.
