<u>Explanation</u>:

In the beginning of the story, “Bartleby the Scrivener, A Tale of Wall Street” by “Herman Melville”, there is a normal office setting with a typical office workers in which each worker is different from the other in his own typical way.

Then the setting changes from normal to absurd behaviour by Bartleby who doesn’t do things in the absurd circumstance he is in. Author also talks about the unfriendly men and women in the society. The Lawyer in the story is never able to understand Bartleby’s behaviour throughout the story.
