Answer:

c) $15,900 and $17,900 respectively.

Explanation:

First calculate the Sum of all years digits

Sum of all years digits = 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 10

Now calculate the Depreciation rate using following formula

Depreciation rate = Remaining useful life / Sum of years digits

2021

Depreciation Rate = 4 / 10 = 0.40 = 40%

2022

Depreciation Rate = 3 / 10 = 0.30 = 30%

2023

Depreciation Rate = 2 / 10 = 0.20 = 20%

2024

Depreciation Rate = 1 / 10 = 0.10 = 10%

The depreciation schedule is attached. Please find it.

On December 31, 2022 the depreciation expense is $15,900 and Ending Book Value is $17,900

PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

Increase, Increase

Explanation:

Normal goods experience a rise in demand if the consumer's income increases or economic conditions improve. Normal goods are sometimes referred to as necessary goods.

Jet fuel can be considered as input the cost of vocations.  An increase in jet fuel will result in a rise in the cost of vacations.  A rise in the cost of vacation leads to an increase in their equilibrium price.

If vacations are normal goods, an increase in people's income will increase their demand. Therefore, the equilibrium quantity of vacations will increase.

4. Computer Chips purchased - Variable cost

5. Electricity costs - Variable cost

6. Metal - Variable cost

11. Rent on Warehouse - Mixed cost

12. Property insurance - Mixed cost

13. Fixed cost

14. Pension cost - Variable cost

15. Packaging - Variable cost

Explanation:

The classification can be explained as follows. Costs that vary per activity level are examples of variable cost, even materials that are purchased to produce products. Example; the more a hourly employee works the higher his labor cost will be. The more products that are needed to be produced, the more material will be used. This the activity level of the cost driver influences the total cost.

Fixed costs are cost that remain the same despite a change in activity level. Thus the salary manager will be paid the same amount every month and the amount will not change. Other examples of fixed costs are contract costs agreed upon etc.

Mixed costs are cost that have both a variable and fixed component. The property insurance has a variable component ( each dollar value that exceeds 1200000 ) and a fixed component namely the monthly 3600 cost. Thus it is classified as a mixed cost.
