Answer:

area of trapezoid is  \mathbf{Area=(\frac{4+8}{2})\times 6}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have

a = 4 cm

b = 8cm

h = 6cm

We need to find area of trapezoid

The formula used is: Area=\frac{a+b}{2}\:h

Putting values and finding expression:

We will not be solving the expression as question required just to find the expression by putting respective values.

Area=\frac{a+b}{2}\:h\\Area=(\frac{4+8}{2})\:\times 6

So, area of trapezoid is  \mathbf{Area=(\frac{4+8}{2})\times 6}

Answer:

I would say 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the Pythagorean Theorem, a2+b2=c2.

7^2+5^2=c^2

49+25=74

Now find the square roots of all numbers...

7+5= about 8.

Anthony jogs 11 1/2 miles in 23 mins. If Anthony continues to jog at a steady pace, how many miles will he jog each minute?
frozen [14]

For this case we can raise a rule of three based on Anthony trotting 11 \frac {1} {2} miles in 23 minutes.

11 \frac {1} {2} = \frac {2 * 11 + 1} {2} = \frac {23} {2}

\frac {23} {2} miles -----------> 23 minutes

x ----------------------------------------> 1minute

x = \frac {\frac {23} {2} * 1} {23}\\x = \frac {\frac {23} {2}} {23}\\x = \frac {23} {2 * 23}\\x = \frac {1} {2}

ANswer:

0.5 miles per minute

What will be angle COD If: angle COD minus angle KOD equals 61degrees and angle COD minus angle KOC equals 53degrees?
kenny6666 [7]

Use algebra for such problems
let, Angle COD = x
Angle KOD = y
Angle KPC = z
Given ,. x - y = 61° ( Equation 1 )
x - z = 53° ( Equation 2 )
Subtract 1st equation from 2nd and you'll get :

z - y = 8° ( Equation 3 )
Now since , x + y + z = 180° ( Equation 4 )
Add Equation 3 to Equation 4 and you'll get
x + 2z = 188° ( Equation 5)
From Equation 2 we know that , x -z = 53°
or, x = 53° + z ( Equation 6 )
Put this value of 'x' in Equation 5 and solve for z. you'll get :
(53° + z) + 2z = 188°
or
3z = 188 - 53 = 135°
solving for z we get
z = 45°
put this value of z in Equation 5
x + ( 2 x 45° ) = 188°
or
x = 188° - 90° = 98°
hence , Angle COD = 98°
