Answer:

Phylum is at level 2.

Explanation:

All living organisms are classified, and the reasons for this are so that they can be examined better,to know and discover their relations, their evolutionary paths etc. while in the past there have been some more simplified classifications, the modern one is complex and well established, based on the characteristics of the organisms(living and died out).

when it comes to the domains, there are nine of them, each representing one specific thing,or rather characteristic. Those nine domain(in order) are kingdom, phylum, class, order, suborder, family, subfamily, genus, and species. As an example we can take the snow leopard:

Kingdom:Animalia(an animal)

Phylum:chordata(vertebrate)

Class:Mammalia(mammal)

Order:carnivora(carnivore)

Suborder:Feliformia(cat-like)

Family:Felidae(true cat)

Subfamily:pantherianae(big cat branch)

Genus:panthera(big cat)

Species:P.uncia(snow leopard)

I hope it's helpful!

Anton van Leeuwenhoek is a scientist who saw cells soon after Hooke did. He made use of a microscope containing improved lenses
NeX [460]

Answer: Leeuwenhoek biggest contribution is to the first tenet of the cell theory.

Explanation: the first tenet of cell theory states that every living being is made of cells and even an organism can be made of just one cell able to reproduce by itself.

Leeuwenhoek observations stablish the existence of microscopic structures alive some with movement. This helped other scientists to determinate this structures were cells that can make vital processes such as feeding, breathing or reproducing which are determinant in biological definition of life.

The Miller-Urey experiment simulated compounds present in the atmosphere of early Earth, lightning, and the evaporation and cond
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The Miller-Urey experiment was conducted to simulate the conditions on Earth when life arose, and see if a chemical evolution could occur. This experiment was performed without oxygen, because they knew that if oxygen was added, the amino acids would oxidize. In particular, the experiment intended to simulate a volcanic eruption was analyzed.

Thus, particles of water, methane, ammonia and hydrogen were exposed to high temperatures and electric discharges that simulated these eruptions, during a determined period. Later, it was observed that organic compounds had emerged from this exposure, which allowed us to infer one of the hypotheses regarding the origin of life on Earth.

How does crossing over in meiosis result in genetic variation?
Aneli [31]

Cross over is the first  way genes are shuffled to give rise to genetic diversity. Cross over takes place in sexual  reproduction.  The normal way that cross over occurs is chromosomes line up side by side and break off pieces of themselves, then trade those pieces with each other.

If they break the pieces at the same locus in the sequence of base pairs, the result is an exchange of genes called  genetic recombination and it ensures that the daughter cells produced  have a different genetic makeup from the parent cell and thus diversity occurs.
