Answer:

1. Shade 7 boxes in.

If 100% is 400 each 10% segment would be 40 and in order to get 70% (or 280) we shade in 7 boxes.

2. The football team scored 280 points. We get this number by multiplying .70 by 400

3. Marcy would spend more money.

To do this problem we multiply the percent by how much they have to get how much they spend.

Stephenson: 12% of 200$

.12 x 200 = 24$

Marcy: 8% of 350$

.08 x 350 = 28$

A cylinder has a height of 17 millimeters and a radius of 6 millimeters. What is its volume? Use ≈ 3.14 and round your answer
lozanna [386]

Answer:

1921.68mm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

H=17 millimeters

R=6 millimeters.

We know that the expression for the volume of cylinder is

V= πr^2h

substitute

V= 3.14*6^2*17

V= 3.14*36*17

V= 1921.68 mm^3

Hence the volume is 1921.68mm^3

The sum of 5 consecutive integers is 120. What is the third number in the sequence?
Katena32 [7]
5 consecutive integers can be written like
1. x
2. x+1
3. x+2
4. x+3
5. x+4

sum means add them all up.

x  + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 = 120
combine like terms and solve for x.

remember it is looking for third in the sequence, so add 2 to your answer.

good luck!

5. The internal dimension of a tank are 14m, 8m and 5m. How much water can be
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

560,000L

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

L=14m

W=8m

H=5m

Volume= L*W*H

Volume= 14*8*5

Volume= 560 m^3

1m^3 = 1000L

560m^3 = x

cross multiply

x= 560*1000

x= 560,000L

Hence the volume is  560,000L
