Kayla is correct because if she has 1,000 and Mack has 999, then that means he needs only one more Apple to be equal with Kaylas amount of apples . 999+ 1 = 1,000

A region is bounded by y=e−3x, the x-axis, the y-axis and the line x = 3. If the region is the base of a solid such that each cr
grigory [225]

Answer:

0.333\pi units³

Step-by-step explanation:

Think process:

The equation is given as y = e^{-3x}

Let, y = f (x)

Therefore, f (x) = e^{-3x}

We know that the limits are y-axis and x= 3

Y-axis: x= 0

then limits are given as x= 0 and x = 3

Integrating  gives:

\int\limits^3_0 {e^{-3x} } \, dx = \frac{-1}{3}e^{-3x} + C

calculating from x= 0 to x = 3, we know volume is given by \pi \int\limits^a_b {f(x)} \, dx

= \pi[ \frac{-1}{3} e^{-9}  - (\frac{-1}{3} e^{0})]

= \pi[0.000041136 + 1/3]

= 0.333\pi units³

When Noah goes bowling, his scores are normally distributed with a mean of 150 and a standard deviation of 12. What is the proba
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

The probability of his score being between 135 and 167 is 0.8151 or (0.8151*100=81.51%)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Mean = μ = 150

SD = σ = 12

Let x1 be the first data point and x2 the second data point

We have to find the z-scores for both data points

x1 = 135

x2 = 167

So,

z_1 = \frac{x_1-mean}{SD}\\= \frac{135-150}{12}\\=\frac{-15}{12}\\=-1.25

And

z_2 = \frac{x_2-mean}{SD}\\z_2 =\frac{167-150}{12}\\=\frac{17}{12}\\= {1.416}

We have to find area to the left of both points then their difference to find the probability.

So,

Area to the left of z1 = 0.1056

Area to the left of z2 = 0.9207

Probability to score between 135 and 167 = z2-z1 = 0.9027-0.1056 = 0.8151

Hence,

The probability of his score being between 135 and 167 is 0.8151 or (0.8151*100=81.51%)

M is the midpoint of LN. L has coordinates (-3,-1) and M has coordinates (0,1). Find N coordinates.
miskamm [114]
To get the coordinates, we would use the midpoint formula (google it)

(X1-X2/2 , Y1+Y2/2)

(-3+0/2 , -1+1/2)

N: (-3/2,0)
