Determine whether the given set S is a subspace of the vector space V .
Ede4ka [16]

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

A) False, take (1,-1) and (1,1) both in V, but the sum (2,0) is not

B) True, if A,B are symmetric then A+kB is symmetric as well for k scalar, and zero matrix is symmetric.

C) True. The zero polynom is in V and P+kQ verifies (P+kQ)(0)=P(0)+kQ(0)=0

D) True. zero is solution and f+kg is since all coefficients are linear.

E) True, same than C)

F) False , the zero function doesn't verify that ( and the closure for sum will fail anyway 4+4=8)

G) False, the zero function fail to satisfy this ODE

Find the volume of the sphere. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.Use 3.14 for n.A sphere has a radius of 13 centimeters.The
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer: We have to find the volume of a sphere, provided its radius:

R_{sphere}=13\operatorname{cm}

The formula for sphere volume is:

V_{sphere}=\frac{4}{3}\pi R^3

Therefore now we can find the volume, because we have the value of the Radius of the sphere, and we do it next.!

\begin{gathered} R_{sphere}=13\operatorname{cm} \\ \rightarrow\therefore\rightarrow \\ V_{sphere}=\frac{4}{3}\pi(13\operatorname{cm})^3=\frac{4}{3}\pi2197\text{ cm}^3 \end{gathered}

Simplification gives:

V_{sphere}=9198.107\text{ cm}^3

olchik [2.2K]
Basically they want you to move the variables around so that it matches the standard form which is Ax+By=C.A,B,and C are just coefficients/constants.
so the original equation is
y=x-4
Minus x from both sides to move x to the left hand side.
-x+y=-4
so thats the final answer
