If you take a yoga class where the room is purposely over 100 degrees Fahrenheit
MAXImum [283]
You're doing what's called hot yoga, bikram, or moshka. You're also risking heat exhaustion if you're not careful or are particularly susceptible to that sort of thing. You're also being rather silly, since the health benefits of hot yoga are largely perceptual (ie, its a placebo) and there are plenty of placebos that involve less effort and sweat than doing contortionist stretches on a rubber mat in a sauna, but to each their own, I guess. Not sure how hot yoga is coming up in a high school history class, though.

What is the main reason that the US government wanted to avoid large-scale railroad strikes after the Great Railroad Strike of 1
ZanzabumX [31]
The main reason that the government of the United States wanted to avoid a large-scale railroad strike from recurring after the Great Railroad Strike of 1877, was because politicians realized how strikers were going to go through any means to have their voice heard to stop the corporations from taking over. This also caused a huge economic crisis, as many cities having huge amounts of losses in property damage. Because of this scare after the strike, many unions became better organized, however leaders became more rigid with labor, possibly because they were frightened of another great strike. However, this only motivated the union and the labor movement more to fight for what they believed was right.

Why did John Calvin write the Institutes of the Christian Religion?
Misha Larkins [42]

I believe the answer is: to explain the Reformation and Protestant beliefs

The reformation was made due to the corrupt practices that the catholic churches made at the time (selling indulgences and being too involved in pursuit of government powers).

Because of this, many christian feel that separation from the catholic church is necessary because it contradict their religious belief, this led to the reformation and development of protestant beliefs.
