Molecular formula can only be an empirical formula if the molecule is in its simplified form.

Like if in a molecule only 1 hydrogen is present then whatever comes out to be in molecular formula is same for empirical formula.

Yes empirical formula can also be the empirical formula if there isn't any ration between them so that they can be written in simplified form
