Right now, it's usually misinformation and directed hate towards a certain group of people. We've collectively seen lots of name calling and mass amounts of hate for no reason. This could also be caused by a mistake a group of people made that has affected the attitude of other people. A hate crime is a crime motivated by bias against race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or disability.
