Psychology and neuroscience can work congruently together to benefit society by the fact that a lot of psychological illnesses stem from a condition in the brain. If you look at Dementia, you can see shrinking of the brain and with a Dementia patient you can also see psychoactive behavior. This is the same with many other "mental illnesses".
