Nick should now tell readers what he is seeing, giving a precise description that will quench readers' curiosity. This means letter A is the correct option.
Letter B would be pointless, since adding a line saying the same thing the narrator has just said would provide nothing new.
Letter C would be important, but not at this moment. It is more like a conclusion or resolution, after everything is done.
