Read the excerpt from Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Their house was even more elaborate than I expected, a cheerful red-and-whi

te Georgian Colonial mansion, overlooking the bay. The lawn started at the beach and ran toward the front door for a quarter of a mile, jumping over sun-dials and brick walks and burning gardens—finally when it reached the house drifting up the side in bright vines as though from the momentum of its run. The front was broken by a line of French windows, glowing now with reflected gold and wide open to the warm windy afternoon, and Tom Buchanan in riding clothes was standing with his legs apart on the front porch. Based on this description of the Buchanans’ house, what inference can be made about many East Egg residents?

The East Egg residents place more importance on the good qualities of their homes. They like to hide the bad qualities of their life.

What can be inferred based on this description is that many East Egg residents hide their unattractive qualities beneath beautiful, light, and dreamy appearances.
As is the case of Daisy and Tom - they live in a beautiful manor which seems perfect on the outside, just like Daisy and Tom do. However, if you take a peak inside, you will see their true selves - they are unhappily married, Tom is cheating on her with Myrtle, and Daisy is cheating on him with Gatsby.

Pleaseeeee helpp, I want 100 words about the starting a business
Rashid [163]

Answer:

Starting a business can be hard especially for beginners, which is why it's important to follow three main steps to build your business. The first main step towards building a business is that you should refine your idea by making it specific and attainable. If you're starting a business, you most likely already have an idea which you can research on and figure out how you can improve on your business ideas. The next step is making a business plan. Thinking about a business name, find your target audience, figure out why customers should choose you over other people, etc. The third step is to figure out a budget. Business is all about finances and money, so figuring out what you're willing to spend on your business is key.

Why is Ponyboy finally able to realize that Darry loves him?

For The Outsiders)
Radda [10]

Answer:

As Ponyboy is passionately hugging Darry, he realizes for the first time that Darry had a silent fear of losing another person he loved. Essentially, Ponyboy misinterpreted his brother's affection and finally realizes that Darry loves him when they see each other for the first time after the abandoned church fire. Approved by eNotes Editorial Team

Explanation:

As the classic "big-brother-turned-father-figure" character, Darry shows his love for Ponyboy through a number of different actions. He displays concern for his education, and hopes that Pony will finish high school to accept opportunities he never had.

He also knows that the world beyond their doorstep is tough, and so he does his best to "toughen up" Ponyboy and the others. All this, while at the same time, Darry is overseeing Pony's advancements in school and in productive areas that will benefit him later in life. As the family fell apart and Darry was thrust into the position of head of household, we see that he carries the responsibility well, and sees after his own in a number of very caring ways.

Which organizational structure can use a block method or a point-by-point method?
stepan [7]
D. Comparison/contrast

In a compare/contrast essay, you can choose to use a block method or go point by point. In a block method, you would have a whole section on your first thing and then a whole section on your second thing. In these sections, the differences and similarities would be evident. Or, you could go point by point and show how each thing is similar/different on each specific issue.
