Relation between fee charged by piano instructor and the lessons has been shown in the graph.
Two points passing through the line are (2, 80) and (4, 140)
Let the one time fee = $b
Hourly charges for the lessons = $x
Equation of the line will be,
y = mx + b
Slope of the line 'm' =
m =
m =
m = 30
y = 30x + b
For point (2, 80),
80 = 30(2) + b
b = 80 - 60
b = 20
Therefore, one time fee charged by the instructor = $20
Since instructor put a coupon to waive off the one time fee, value of the coupon will be = $20

If sin 0(theta)=2/3 and tan 0(theta)<0. What is the value of cos 0(theta)
BigorU [14]

Answer:

cos Ф = adj / hyp = √5 / 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If sin Ф is +, then Ф must be in either Quadrant 1 or Quadrant 2.

If tan Ф < 0, then Ф must be in either Quadrant 2 or Quadrant 3.

So we conclude that Ф is in Quadrant 2.

If sin Ф = opp / hyp = 2/3, then opp = 2 and hyp = 3, and adj is found using the Pythagorean Theorem:

adj = √( 3² - 2² ) = √( 5 )

With adj = √5 and hyp = 3, cos Ф = adj / hyp = √5 / 3

3. Find the least number which must be added to the following numbers to make them a perfect square. i) 37460 ii) 506900 iii) 49
EastWind [94]

Answer:

i). 211.

ii). 711.

iii). 31

iv). 131.

Step-by-step explanation:

i). √37460 = 193.545

Then take the whole number from the decimal:

193² = 193 × 193 = 37249

You subtract the answer from the main number:

37460 - 37249 = 211

211 is the answer.

ii). √506900 = 711.969

711² = 711 × 711 = 505521

506900 - 505521 = 1379

1379 is the answer.

iii). √4931 = 70.221

70² = 70 × 70 = 4900

4931 - 4900 = 31

31 is the answer.

iv). √5607 = 74.879

74² = 74 × 74 = 5476

5607 - 5476 = 131

131 is the answer.
