Answer:

The neighbor and uncle paid better than community center

Step-by-step explanation:

Neighbor-$10 for 30 min

Uncle-$30 for 90 min

unit rate is $10 per 30 min

center- $30 per 120 min

unit rate is $7.5 per 30 min

Neighbr and uncle pay the same and is better than center

Consider the following data and corresponding weights.
Sergio [31]

Answer:

a) tex] \bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}[/tex]

And replacing we got:

\bar X= \frac{3.2+2.0+2.5+5.0}{4}=3.175

b) \bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n w_i x_i}{\sum_{i=1}^n w_i}

And replacing we got:

\bar X= \frac{3.2*6+2.0*3+2.5*2+5.0*8}{6+3+2+8}=\frac{70.2}{19}=3.695

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a

For this case we can calculate the the unweigthed with the following formula:

\bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

And replacing we got:

\bar X= \frac{3.2+2.0+2.5+5.0}{4}=3.175

Part b

For this case the weigthed mena is given :

\bar X = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^n w_i x_i}{\sum_{i=1}^n w_i}

And replacing we got:

\bar X= \frac{3.2*6+2.0*3+2.5*2+5.0*8}{6+3+2+8}=\frac{70.2}{19}=3.695

Solve the equation below:<br><br> ln x- ln 5= -1
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

x = 5/e

Step-by-step explanation:

ln x- ln 5= -1

We know that ln a - ln b = ln (a/b)

ln x- ln 5= -1

ln(x/5) = -1

Raise each side to the power of e

e^ ln(x/5) = e^-1

We know that e^-1 = 1/e

x/5 = 1/e

Multiply each side by 5

x/5 *5 = 1/e * 5

x = 5/e

What is the mean absolute deviation of the data set?
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

<u>B. 2</u>

To find MAD, find the mean of the set, then find how far each number is from the mean. Next, find the mean of THAT set of numbers. Yea, I know it's a bit confusing... don't worry!

Find the mean of the set:

12 + 10 + 10 + 8 + 6 + 7 + 7 + 12

72

72 / 8

<u>9</u>

Find how far each number is from 9:

12 - 9 = <u>3</u>

10 - 9 = <u>1</u>

10 - 9 = <u>1</u>

9 - 8 = <u>1</u>

9 - 6 = <u>3</u>

9 - 7 = <u>2</u>

9 - 7 = <u>2</u>

12 - 9 = <u>3</u>

Find the mean of that number set:

{3, 1, 1, 1, 3, 2, 2, 3}

3 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 3

16

16 / 8

<u>2</u>

<u>So the answer is 2!</u>
