Belmont principles is the term that determines the principles that should compose researches related to human health, allowing that these researches are done in ethical and moral principles. These principles are: beneficence (proposes that researches aim to promote good), justice (proposes that all elements of the research and their applicability are fair) and respect (proposes that all participants are respected and valued).

In the experiment shown in the question above, we can see that beneficence and justice were the principles used. This is because the research sought to do good to people with heart disease and as these diseases are more frequent in women and blacks, it is fair that the participants are, in their majority, blacks and women.
