Puzzle #1: Bring Me Cupcakes! This may sound crazy, but let’s compare quality work to cupcakes. You see, I LOVE cupcakes. There’

Answer:

The smashed cupcakes are the cakes that are without icing. The best way to make cupcakes is to use specific amount of butter that is applied in the cake pan.

Explanation:

The cupcakes are now gaining significance in today's era. There are many types of cupcakes. Most commonly used are the fondant cupcakes which are now used instead of 3 pounds cakes on birthdays and other similar celebrations.

Which innovation is attributed to Geoffrey Chauncer?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

The use of decasyllabic meter

Geoffrey Chaucer was an English poet during the Middle Ages, best known for his work The Canterbury Tales. He is known as the "Father of English literature" and was the first writer to be buried in Poets' Corner of Westminster Abbey.

Chaucer is also well-known for his metrical innovation. He was one of the first English poets to use the five-stress line, which is a decasyllabic cousin to the iambic pentameter that became popular during the Elizabethan period.

The words "Time and his brother Care had set some marks" (lines 8-9)
Vanyuwa [196]

Unclear question, but I infer you are referring to a passage that isn't mentioned.

Answer:

e. Personification

Explanation:

Based on the context which referred to abstract objects; time and care, the author seems to be personifying 'Time'.

Note that Personification is a type of figure of speech that attributes or refers to something that is not a person as though it were.

One common example is "Have you seen my car? Isn't she beautiful?". We noticed the car is spoken as though it were a person.
