Even though Native Americans have been moved onto reservations from 1851, there was the Final Period during 1867-1892, when the last Indians were moved onto reservations. The end of the Civil War marked another influx of American migration westward, through originally Native American land. The remaining tribes in the area were pushed onto reservations, dealing a severe blow to Native American culture and their lifestyle.
