Answer:

E. Pollutants mixed with water pass through permeable layers above the aquifer.

Explanation:

An Aquifer is an underground body of rock that holds groundwater.

Groundwater is considered safe to an extent but it is also susceptible to contamination just like surface water.

Pollutants like man made products can pass through the permeable layers above the aquifer and cause it to become contaminated.

For example, pesticides, fertilizers, gasoline, oil and the likes can find their way into the soil, go through the aquifer and contaminate ground water.

Integrate sec(4x)tan(4x)dx
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

sec(4x) + C

Explanation:

original problem: ∫sec(4x)tan(x)dx

use integration by substitution (u-sub) by setting u = 4x

if u = 4x, then du/dx = 4 and du = 4dx (dx = du/4)

after substitution the integral is ∫sec(u)tan(u)(du/4)

move the 1/4 out of the integral by using the integral Constant rule to form 1/4∫sec(u)tan(u)du

the anti-derivative of sec(u)tan(u) is sec(u), memorize your trigonometric derivatives!!!!

after integration, we get sec(u)/4 + C , now plug u back into the equation

sec(4x) + C is the general solution

Ksju [112]

Answer : When a raw egg is placed in vinegar then it dissolves the shell of egg and makes it a naked egg.

Explanation : The shell of the egg is made up of calcium carbonate and when placed in vinegar which is mainly made up of acetic acid, dissolves the outer shell covering of calcium carbonate and makes the egg naked. This makes the raw egg bouncy in nature.
