Answer:

∠6=116°

Step-by-step explanation:

Buckle up :)

  • We are given the values of ∠4 (-2x+94) and ∠8 (-5x+139).
  • Vertical angles are congruent. Angle 4 and angle 1 are vertical angles, so angle 1 is also -2x+94.
  • ∠1 and ∠8 are alternate exterior angles. The transversal is the line that crosses over the parallel lines. When two angles are on opposite sides of the transversal, they are alternate angles. When the two angles are on the outside of the parallel lines, they are exterior angles. This makes them alternate-exterior angles.
  • Alternate exterior angles are congruent. This means that ∠1≅∠8. Write an equation in order to solve for x:

-2x+94=-5x+139

Solve for x. Subtract 94 from both sides:

-2x+94-94=-5x+139-94\\\\-2x=-5x+45

Add 5x to both sides:

-2x+5x=-5x+5x+45\\\\3x=45

Divide both sides by 3:

\frac{3x}{3} =\frac{45}{3} \\\\x=15

Insert the value of x into angle 4 because they are same-side interior angles. This is because they are on the same side of the transversal and within the parallel lines. Same-side interior angles are supplementary, so their value will add up to 180°. Therefore, in order to find angle 6, we need to first find the true value of angle 4:

x=15\\\\-2(15)+94\\\\-30+94\\\\64

∠4 is 64°. Use ∠a+∠b=180 to find angle 6:

a+64=180

a represents angle 6. Subtract 64 from both sides:

a+64-64=180-64\\\\a=116

Angle 6 has a measure of 116°.

I need help with these questions, please. Please. Please.

I’m pretty sure you are supposed to use the law of sine, which states A/sin(a)=B/sin(b)=C/sin(c), where A is the side opposite of angle A. Number 4 would be28/sin37=x/sin49, solving for x. I do not have a calculator with me but I hope this helps

Help me and I’ll give you brainliest
Anit [1.1K]

So this is complicated, but to get a general idea simple we use common sense and say its bigger than 4, since its length is bigger than the supposed 4 length. So then we get  the options 6, 5, and 24. Now we can do some basic math and figure that the circle radius is around 4 so its probably 6 or 5. Slim change of 24.

People who did the physical math can check it with my answer.

The ratio of marbles to stones in a large pot 6 to 7. if there are 42 marbles, then how many stones are there
anzhelika [568]
The ratio means that for every 6 marbles, there are 7 stones.

Divide 42 marbles by 6.

42 / 6 = 7

This means that there are 7 groups of 6 marbles in 42 marbles.

Now, multiply 7 groups with 7 stones, since for every 6 marbles, there are 7 stones.

7 * 7 = 49

There are 49 stones in the large pot.

Hope this helped! Feel free to ask for any clarifications!
