35 points + I will give brainiest. How did World War II unite Americans at home?
puteri [66]

Answer:

Explanation:

During World War II many of the young American men had to go to the war and fight, leaving their home workplaces. That is why those who stayed at home had to unite to help the state and the soldiers on the front as much as they could.

It was important to produce much of the war-related materials (airplanes, tanks, weapons, firearms, etc.). In the factories that produced these goods, many of the workers during World War II were women who stayed in the US while men were fighting. A large number of women started also filling the vacancies on the non-war related work fields to keep America's home front alive. They took even the roles of the manual workers, a field that was reserved for men before, to secure the stability of the country.

People also united in collecting and recycling metals, rubber, aluminum and other material that could be valuable in making the necessities for the war. Many churches and church leaders gave the lectures and their help for the war, providing moral support.

As the food was needed on the front, many people started growing their plants, food, and vegetables in the garden to support themselves, leaving other supplies of the food for the troops. There are many posters that we can find urging people to rationalize their food consumption to have enough supplies for everyone.

The number of celebrities united to do propaganda work for the military, raise the goods and money, and bring up the moral, of the troops as well as the everyday people. So many of the movies made during this time also were in the name of the moral – some were meant to light the mood and showed themes not related to the war, while some showed the great things US military did, bad deeds of the Nazis and the victories of the ally forces. This is the direct evidence of how the whole entertainment industry untiled for the cause.

All of these changes and efforts form the people show how everyone was united to win the war and help the troops on the fronts as much as they can from home.
