What is "Manifest Destiny"?

English
1 answer:
creativ13 [48]2 years ago
7 0

in US history? Manifest Destiny was a belief back in the 1800s that the United States territory would expand from coast to coast (basically the ocean on both sides). This encouraged people to expand and move towards the west to fulfill that destiny (it worked obviously). While this resulted in lots of progress in the country, it also did massive damage to the Native Americans who were pretty much forced out of their land (ex. Oklahoma land run)

Which factual details does the author include to inform
REY [17]

The correct answers are:

"twenty miles west of Phoenix"

"3:15 p.m. on June 12, 2014"

"spherical metal object"

Explanation:

Factual details refer to true details or information. These types of details provide all the essential details about some news or case.

In our example, we can notice that factual details brig us important information by answering questions like when, where and what.

The other two options cannot be considered as the correct answers because of the suppositions which cannot be classified as part of factual information. (e.g. concerns about aliens / rumors spread).

Should your family have a say in who you marry explain
marishachu [46]

Answer:

No: they can have an opinion, not a say.

Explanation:

Your family can have a first impression/opinion, but they shouldn't have a say in who you marry. If you love that person, you should be with them. Your family shouldn't judge that, or try to make you choose someone else.
