Scientific and technological advances have greatly allowed the states to expand their economic power in this period because new technologies in agriculture sector increases productivity of crops as well as allows more production of products in less time in the industrial sectors. New type of high yielding hybrid seeds and advance machinery in the industries allows the country to produce more goods and the export of these goods automatically increase the economy of the country.

The first one is a problem because if they have no power to tax then people can do whatever they want and that will cause chaos it will also leave the government bankrupt. The second is a problem because if there is no law enforcement then crime rates will rise. The third one is a problem because bad leadership could end up making the confederate loose the war against the union and cause the confederacy to crumble.
