In the scenario given above, the paired t test will be more appropriate simply because of the natural pairing which exists. Two different results can be obtained from each of the subjects, thus creating a natural pair. Since the same subject are exposed to both treatment, thus we have a test result obtained with classical music playing and another test result while classical music isn't playing both from each single subject. Hence, making it the more appropriate test for the situation described.
