How many lines of symmetry does this figure have, and what is the rotational symmetry of this

Mathematics
1 answer:
Vinvika [58]3 years ago
3 0

It has 0 lines of symmetry because we cannot reflect any portion of itself over the line to land on another portion. For example, we cannot draw a vertical line through the center and reflect the right half over to the left side. The arrow doesn't match or line up properly.

It does however have rotational symmetry. The angle of rotation is 360/3 = 120 degrees. We can rotate the figure 120 degrees, either clockwise or counterclockwise, and the resulting figure will be 100% identical to the original figure. In short: after the rotation, no change has been made. This is because the arrows are effectively going in a circle. Applying a rotation to a circle does not change the circle overall.

What is 3/15 in a decimal
Damm [24]
Well, since 3/15 can be simplified to 1/5 by dividing the top and the bottom by 3, you would just need to find the decimal of 1/5 which is much more commonly recognized. it's .2 (becasue 1/10 would be .1 and 1/5=2/10 so .1x2=.2)

How do you factor #8x^3+4x^2-18x-9#?
kvasek [131]
This expression is a good candidate for "factoring by grouping."  I note that the first 2 terms and the last 2 terms share a common factor, 2x+1:

8x^3 + 4x^2                 - 18x - 9
4x^2 *(2x + 1)  -9 (2x+1)

This can be re-written as (2x+1)(4x2-9)

The latter factor is also easily factorable:

(2x+1)(2x-3)(2x+3)  (answer)

iren [92.7K]
153000 x  0.124 = 18972 employees with some college experience
153000 x 0.841 = 128673 employees with bachelor degree
128673 - 18972 = 109701 more writers and authors with bachelor's degree than just some college experience
