I am doing a math project for Geometry. I am using Singapore Flyer as example for a circle. This is the information I know so fa

r: diameter = 150m (radius=75), Circumference = 471 m, Area = 17,662.50 m, there are 28 capsules/compartments where people go into ride it. I now need to get the measure of the center angle and the arc length. I am pretty sure I need to use formula 2(pi)(r)(x/360) to solve for x = central angle. If I input what I know (radius = 75) 2(3.14)(75)(x/360) = 471(x/360) = 471x/360 = x = 1.3083 repeating. Is this right or do I need to use a different formula? Thank you all for your help.

3x+4y=2 4x-4y=12 by using elimination
Sidana [21]
(+3x+4y=2)
(+4x-4y=12)
-----------------
7x = 14
-----------------
7
X=2

3(2)+4y=2
6+4y=2
4y=-4
Y=-1.
Or you can plug x into the other equation.

4(2)-4y=12
8-4y=12
-4y=4
Y=-1.

1.Name 4 other angles whose cosine is the same as cos pi/3 . Explain using mathematical language how you know this is true.
krok68 [10]

The trigonometry illustrates that the four angles whose cosine is the same as cos pi/3 will be 7∏/3, 13∏/3, 19∏/3, and 31∏/3

How to illustrate the information?

From the information, given cos (x), the value that is similar to cos x will be the sum of the angle and multiple of 360.

Therefore, for the angle cos(∏/3), the angles that are similar to this angle will be expressed as Cos(2∏n + ∏/3) where n is any positive integer.

Then the other four angles will be 7∏/3, 13∏/3, 19∏/3, and 31∏/3. Also, the statement that all angles that have the same cosine will have the same sine is false. The sine of an angle is simply equal to the cosine of the complementary angle.
