In at least one hundred words, describe how the title of Daly's short story helps give a context for the story.
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

<em>"Sixteen"</em> by Maureen Daly is a short story that explores the theme of teenage life. Teenage period is a period which brings confusion, which is evident in the main character, a sixteen-year-old girl. She is an average teenage girl that follows the latest styles, reads the editorials and listens to the radio. However, she faces certain struggles and is not sure whether to follow her heart or reason. This is certainly an issue that many teenagers go through, as at this point in life, it is very hard to make decisions. Therefore, from the very title of the story, we can guess what it is about. The title indicates that a character from the story (probably the protagonist) is sixteen years old. In this way, the narrator gives us a clue that the story is centered around different struggles that he/she faces at this age.

Dialogue between to friends on their plan to visit historical place
Xelga [282]

Answer:

Jane: Visiting Buckingham Palace has been my dream for so long, thank you so much for coming on this trip with me!

Madison: Of course! I always wanted to see the changing of the guards! And I´ve become so interested in the monarchy since watching The Crown!

J: I´ve been thinking we could rent a car. What do you think? Would public transportation be better than driving ourselves?

K: I guess public transportation should be best because we don´t know our way around London and neither of us has an international driver's license.

A: That´s true. And It probably would be too costly. Besides, we can get a fancy English breakfast before and a few beers after without worrying about drinking and driving.

M: Do you think we may have a chance to see the Queen?

A: I sure hope so!

Explanation:

Buckingham Palace is open for tourist visits. The forecourt of the Royal Palace is where the Changing of the Guard takes place, inviting travelers to observe it.
