The Declaration of Sentiments was one of the most important historical document that contributed to the success of Women'[s suffrage movement.

The documents in the Declaration of sentiments highlighted the hypocrisy that exist within the Declaration of Independence. The first draft of the declaration of Independence specifically mentioned that the human rights that exist in the Declaration of Independence were only given to Men.

The establishment of The Declaration of Sentiments  gained various support nationwide. It increased the amount of people (both men and women) who supported women's right to vote.
