It’s (k-9)(k+9) because when expanded you get k^2 +9k -9k -81 which simplifies to = k^2-81. a good trick with questions like this is square root the second number which in this instance is 9 and you will have a plus bracket and a minus bracket. (k+9)(k-9)

The number of different cars sold in some country rose from 210 in 1997 to 277 in 2007. Find the percent increase. Round to the
Virty [35]

Find percent increase by subtracting the amounts and dividing it by the old amount, then multiply the result by 100 to make it a percent.

Increase= (277-210)/210

67/210

Then it ends up as 0.319047619...

Multiply that by 100 to make it a percent, which is..

31.9047619..

Round it off, and you get..

32%!

What is the measure of ∠SPQ in this rhombus?
Gemiola [76]
Ok so all you have to do is set SPR and QPR equal like this
4x+11=5x-4
and solve to get x=15
then substitute in 15 for x in both equations
4(15)+11 and 5(15)-4
both =71 and add them up to get SPQ=142.
