Guys I need help, is this Logos, Ethos, or Pathos?
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

Logos

Explanation:

This is an appeal to logic, or logos. This is because this is a logical argument - a cause and effect. Pollution has a severe impact on native animal populations, so we should not pollute.

Hope this helps!

Complete the following statement based on Vallabhbhai Patel’s speech:
balandron [24]

Answer:

After a prolonged struggle the country has secured freedom, but it is not freedom of the kind that we wanted. It is not freedom of the kind that the deliverer of the country expected, and to our shame we have to confess that by our folly we have lost him. Now after his going we must do penance and try our best to deserve the freedom that he obtained for us.

Which word best describes the narrator’s tone toward Dr. Heidegger’s visitors in the first paragraph? RL.6
NeTakaya

Answer:

D. Disapproving.

Explanation:

<em>Dr. Heidegger's Experiment</em> by Nathaniel Hawthorne tells the story of how a scientist used his four friends in an experiment about water from the fountain of youth. And in their greed to stay young, the 'subjects' fought which resulted in the vase being broken.

The first paragraph of the story introduces the characters or the guests for the experiment. The first is <u>Mr. Medbourne</u>, <em>"now little better than a mendicant"</em>, <u>Colonel Killigrew </u>who <em>"had wasted his best years, and his health and substance, in the pursuit of sinful pleasures, which had given birth to a brood of pains, such as the gout, and divers other torments of soul and body"</em>. Then there is <u>Mr. Gascoigne</u>, <em>"a ruined politician, a man of evil fame"</em> and <em>"the withered gentlewoman, whose name was the </em><u><em>Widow Wycherly</em></u><em>". </em>

The way the narrator describes these four guests is more of a condescending tone than a happy or agreeable tone. So, we can infer that his tone towards them is a disapproving one.

in lines 319-334, king presents five specific steps that the U.S. should take. how do these propoals relate to the preceding par
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

Both parts, the proposals and the preceding part, agree that war must stop.

Explanation:

The question refers to Beyond Vietnam: A Speech Against Vietnam War, delivered by Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1967; it is also known as the Riverside Church Speech because of the location used to deliver it. The five proposals are 1) end the bombing; 2) unilateral cease-fire by the U.S.; 3) shorten the development of U.S. troops in Thailand and Laos; 4) the National Liberation Front must be recognized as a legitimate part during the negotiations; 5) set a date for withdrawal. In the previous part, King quotes a Buddhist leader that criticized how the U.S. had used its military power against Vietnamese people and how it stopped America of being a revolutionary country for freedom.
