Write an equation for the line, given that m= 0 and the y - intercept (0, -2)
stich3 [128]

Remember that the slope intercept formula is:

y = mx + b

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

so...

m = 0

b = -2

^^^Plug these numbers into formula

y = 0*x - 2

y = 0 - 2

y = -2

Hope this helped!

Suppose that prices of recently sold homes in one neighborhood have a mean of $265,000 with a standard deviation of $9300. Using
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

Range  = (237100, 292900)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Chebyshevs Inequality:

P(|X - \mu | \le k \sigma )\ge 1  -\dfrac{1}{k^2}= 0.889

1  -\dfrac{1}{k^2}= 0.889

\dfrac{1}{k^2}= 1- 0.889

\dfrac{1}{k^2}=0.111

k = \sqrt{\dfrac{1}{0.111}}

k \simeq 3

Thus, 88.9% of the population is within 3 standard deviation of the mean with the Range = μ  ±  kσ

where;

μ = 265000

σ = 9300

Range = 265000  ±  3(9300)

Range = 265000  ± 27900

Range =   (265000 - 27900, 265000 + 27900)

Range  = (237100, 292900)

Ow to do this please help I’m 10in six grade I skip don’t no why but please help
ohaa [14]
To do this, you can just multiply across. 3 times 1 equals 3 so your numerator is 3. 2 times 4 equals 8. Then, your answer would be 3/8. Hope this helps :)

Weights were recorded for all nurses at a particular hospital, the mean weight for an individual nurse was 135 lbs. with a stand
Aloiza [94]
Given:
population mean, μ =135
population standard deviation, σ = 15
sample size, n = 19

Assume a large population, say > 100,
we can reasonably assume a normal distribution, and a relatively small sample.
The use of the generally simpler formula is justified.

Estimate of sample mean
\bar{x}=\mu=135

Estimate of sample standard deviation
\s=\sqrt{\frac{\sigma^2}{n}}
=\sqrt{\frac{15^2}{19}}=3.44124  to 5 decimal places.

Thus, using the normal probability table,
P(125
=P(\frac{125-135}{3.44124}
=P(-2.90593
=P(Z
=P(Z

Therefore
The probability that the mean weight is between 125 and 130 lbs
P(125<X<130)=0.0731166-0.0018308
=0.0712858
