In a word processing program, the ribbon is composed of tabs. These tabs contain different groups of related commands. This is true of the word processing program found in MS Office, as well as those of other companies. The ribbon is usually located at the top of the screen.
At the top of a word processing document you may find a menu that holds all of the word processing commands. THE MENU
Some newer word processing programs have at the top of the window that contains commands. Tabs appear at the top of the ribbon and contain groups of related commands. Home, Insert, and Page Layout are examples of ribbon tabs. For instance, if you click on the Home tab, you will see the commands for font and alignment.
