The discount would be 75$ dollars off so your total of the sale is 425$

(05.08)Solve for x: 7 over 8 minus 1 over x equals 3 over 4.
NemiM [27]

If you are asking 7/8 - 1/x= 3/4,

first put 3/4 to 6/8 to make it easier.

Move the 7/8 over to the right. You will get 1/x=-1/8.

Simplify, it is x=-8.

Check=7/8 - 1/8=6/8

It checks out.

Can someone help me with this exercise?
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

View image

Step-by-step explanation:

You treat inequality questions just like normal equation with an equal sign. You only have to worry about the inequality when you do the shading part.

Your first goal is to solve for y, which I did at the top.

And remember that when you divide/multiply by a negative number you have to flip the inequality sign.

So the first equation is already in term of y. (y < 2x + 4)

So you only have to solve for y for -3x - 2y ≥ 6.

I solved that and got y ≤ -3/2x - 3.

Now you have 2 equations. y < 2x + 4 and y ≤ -3/2x - 3

First you gotta treat it like a normal equation and graph them.

So i graphed y = 2x + 4 and y = -3/2x - 3. I assume you already know how do do that.

btw. < and > have dotted lines, while ≤ and ≥ have solid lines.

Now for the shading, you gotta look at the inequality sign.

y < 2x + 4 has a less than sign, so you have to shade everything underneath the line you graphed.

y ≤ -3/2x - 3 is also less than, so you have to shade everything underneath that line as well.

So in the future, you you get a > or ≥ then you have to shade above the graph.

100 POINTSSS! ASAP ANSWEERR PLS

PART A

Given:

f(x) = 0.69(1.03)x

To find:

If the price of the product is increasing or decreasing and by what percentage

Steps:

we know the formula to find the price of Product A per year, so

f(1) = 0.69 * 1.03 * 1

Price = $0.7107

f(2) = 0.69 * 1.03 * 2

Price = $1.4214

Here the Price of Product after 2 years is greater than the price of Product after one year. So the price of the product A is increasing.

Now to find percentage increase,

Percentage increase = \frac{FV-SV}{SV}*100        (FV = final value, SV = starting value)

Percentage increase = \frac{1.4214 - 0.7107}{0.7107}*100

Percentage increase = \frac{0.7107}{0.7107}*100

Percentage increase = 100 %

Therefore, the percentage increase of Product A is 100%

PART B

Given:

Price of product B in 1st year = $10,100

Price of product B in 2nd year = $10,201

Price of product B in 3rd year = $10,303.01

Price of product B in 4th year = $10,406.04

To find:

Which product recorded a greater percentage change over the previous year

Steps:

We need to find the percentage change of Product B and Product A of each year. We know that the percentage change of product A is 100 % for each year, so we only need to calculate for product B

PC of product B from 1st to 2nd year = \frac{10,201-10,100}{10,100}*100

                                                             = \frac{101}{10,100}*100

                                                             = 0.01 * 100

                                                             = 1 %

PC of product B from 2nd to 3rd year = \frac{10,303.01-10,201}{10,201} *100

                                                              = 1%

PC of product B from 3rd to 4th year =\frac{10,406.04-10,303.01}{10,303.01}*100

                                                              ≈ 1%

So, percentage change of product B is 1% per year

Therefore, Product A has greater percentage change

Find the area of the shaded region for the given figure in terms of x.
Vlada [557]

Answer:

Area of the shaded region = (6x + 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the shaded region = Area of the large rectangle - Area of the small rectangle

Area of the large rectangle = Length × Width

                                             = (x + 2)(x + 2)

                                             = (x + 2)²

                                             = x² + 4x + 4

Area of the small rectangle = (x - 1)(x - 1)

                                             = (x - 1)²

                                             = x² - 2x + 1

Area of the shaded region  = (x² + 4x + 4) - (x² - 2x + 1)

                                             = 6x + 3

Area of the shaded region = (6x + 3)
