Exposed them to new lands to conquer as well as spread influence too. It allowed competing countries to appear superior if they conquered land in the land. Land=resources and power all equate to more economic oppurtunities
Patriots. They were smart in fighting the british because they knew how to cripple them. Only about 20 percent of the population were loyal to them
I would say the 50 year old corporate executive who holds a masters in business. I would attribute this to his age and experience in life and interest in business that together would spark his interest in politics.
