Answer:

Simplifying a square root isn't as hard as it looks. To simplify a square root, you just have to factor the number and pull the roots of any perfect squares you find out of the radical sign. Once you've memorized a few common perfect squares and know how to factor a number, you'll be well on your way to simplifying the square root.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) √144=12×12

You're on the right track, but you made an error when you wrote out

4a+15 = -7

Instead it should be

-(4a+15) = -7

which is the same as

4a+15 = 7

This is because the "-(4a+15)*sqrt(3)" and "-7sqrt(3)" terms both start with a negative. Solving 4a+15 = 7 leads to a = -2

Use a = -2 and you should get b = 2

-------------------------------------------------------------

Check:

Plug in a = -2 into the LHS and compute

(4-3*sqrt(3))*(5-a*sqrt(3)) = (4-3*sqrt(3))*(5+2*sqrt(3)) = -10.1243556529821

plug b = 2 into the RHS and compute

b - 7*sqrt(3) = 2 - 7*sqrt(3) = -10.1243556529821

we get the same approximate value on each side, so LHS = RHS when a = -2 and b = 2.

Answer:

26 weeks!

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello there!

There are 52 weeks in a year, believe it or not! So, if 1 bag of food was 10 lbs, then it would be 1 bag of 10lbs x 52 weeks, so it would be 52 bags. However, we are dealing with 20 lb bags, which will last twice as long as the 10 lb bag! So, if 1 bag will last 2 weeks, and there are 52 weeks in a year, then it is weeks divided by number of weeks it takes to consume 1 bag, 52 divided by 2. 52 divided by 2 is 26.

So in 1 year, the shelter will need 26 bags of 20 lb cat food!

Hope I helped!

Answer:

B don't be afraid of the rounding that took place. In this case, you pick the closest answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Givens

r = 2

V = 60

Formula

V = 1/3 pi r^2 h

Solution

60 = 1/3 * 3.14 * 2^2 * h

60 *3 /(3.14 * 4) = h

h = 14.33 feet which is B

4.5/w = 3

what is the W?
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

w=1.5 or w=13.5

Step-by-step explanation:

this is one answer:

multiply w on both sides to leave u with

4.5=3w

divide both sides by 3

\frac{4.5}{3}=\frac{3w}{3}

1.5=w

_____________________

this is the second one if the first one is wrong:

multiply 4.5 on both sides so that the 4.5/w would leave u with just only w alone.

then 3*4.5=13.5

w=13.5

hope dis helps if not then im not dat smart enough ;?
