Callie did a lab during which she investigated the difference in cellular respiration rates between two different types of corn:

germinating and non-germinating. A germinating seed is one from which a plant has started to grow. A non-germinating seed is usually dry and a new plant has not yet emerged. The data that she gathered are displayed in the graph. After Callie obtained her original results, she wanted to dig deeper. She determined that the germinating corn seed had utilized 100 molecules of glucose in the first few seconds that she performed the experiment. If these data are accurate, how many carbon dioxide molecules would Callie expect to have been released as a waste during this same amount of time? Explain how you arrived at your answer. The formula for cellular respiration is shown below. C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy

Answer:

I might be wrong but im guessing 600

Explanation:

Since there is one molecule of glucose used per 6 molecules of carbon dioxide released, if you have 100 molecules of glucose, then you multiply the carbon dioxide by 100 which is 600. Thats what I would say but I might be wrong.

Fires are important to savanna ecosystems, but not to grassland ecosystems. Please select the best answer from the choices provi
garri49 [273]

The given statement is false.

The fires are essential to both the grassland and savanna ecosystems. The grasslands and savannas are featured by two seasons, which are sustained by fire, and exhibit species that are impervious to drought. These fires help in following on the sequences and permit for habitats to maintain their resolution.

The African savanna ecosystem refers to a tropical grassland with warm temperatures over a year, and with its highest seasonal rainfall in the summers.

The allele for brown fur in mice (B) is dominant over the allele for white fur (b).
evablogger [386]

Answer:

Genotype: Bb (heterozygous)

Phenotype: brown fur

Explanation:

Since allele B is dominant to allele b, as long as genotype has allele B in it, its effect of phenotype will be expressed instead, regardless of whether allele b is present.

As mouse genotype is stated as Bb, on the chromosome from its parents, allele B comes from one parent while allele b is inherited from the other parent.

Phenotype is the expressed trait. In this case, as genotype has allele B, the phenotype will be brown fur as its effect is expressed.

Choose appropriate way(s) that steep cliffs might impact people living nearby:
dusya [7]

People living nearby steep cliffs can impact them in different ways, the people nearby will affect them into having a decrease area available to grow crops as it is dangerous to even grow crops in areas like it, another thing is, there will be an increase of landslide hazard as they are in a steep cliff. Having steep cliffs are dangerous and will only cause them a disadvantage.
