Answer:
It was an average day, my friends and I hanging out in my room playing video games. Just as I made another kill, as always, my mother screams from downstairs. Of course I jump up to see what her matter is, and my friends follow me.
"Johnny, the heater is pluming smoke, it's about to explode! Hurry, out of the house!" my mother exclaims, practically pushing us down the stairs. We all ran as fast as we could out of the house, and after we were a safe distance away, my mom called 911. Soon enough there was a whole fire department outside my home, all of them ready to hose down our house. After a while of nothing happening, a firefighter named Rick went inside to check it out. After a minute, he came out saying that nothing was going to happen, and that it was just steam coming from boiling water and our humidifier. Well, I guess you could say that it was a false alarm. ;)

My personal recommendations would be to
A ) Make the subject shorter, like "Reason for Absence" or "My Absence"
B ) Make the email more formal. (You don't have to copy my recommendation word for word but if you want to or use it for reference that works):
"Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Mrs. __,
I hole you're have a lovely morning/afternoon/evening. Today I was absent and I apologize for the inconvenience. The class meeting didn't appear on my canvas courses and I couldn't find a zoom link.
