Anne Frank Journals 9-10

English
1 answer:
Lunna [17]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:

9.The diary of 15-year-old Anne Frank ended abruptly when the Nazis broke into her family's hiding place in Amsterdam. What happened next? Of the last days of one of the world's best-known modern heroines, little was known except that she had died, like millions of other Jews, in a German concentration camp.

10.The chief historical event reflected in the play is the Jewish Holocaust. The Jewish Franks and Van Daans were in hiding because the Nazis were rounding up Jews in the Netherlands and deporting them to concentration camps for extermination. ... The play also reflects the real history of the Netherlands in the time period.

What is one disadvantage of using a radio ad to announce the arrival of several works by a famous painter at a local art museum?
Anestetic [448]
A radio ad communicates ideas audibly, not visually, so it cannot let people see images of the painter’s works.

A lot of people won’t be pulled in because they can’t see the paintings. I’d say this is the answer, since the other three don’t really fit. Radio ads can play more than once, most of them aren’t even funny, and they’re short, but they usually have an address or location attached.

In the fourth paragraph, Shamengwa's decision to place his awards "on a triangular scrap of shelf high in one corner of his hous
scoray [572]

Answer:

The fact that he placed his awards on a triangular scrap suggests that he no longer placed much value on them

Explanation:

Shamengwa is a fiddle (or a violin player) who is partially challenged in one arm. He is described as an old man, a granduncle who has had his fair share of years.

Though he and his music are popular because they are emotive, the narrator states that he is seldom invited to popular jigs. His music was doubled-edged.   It made people happy as much as it made them cry. Because of this, he wasn't wanted at every party. Parties were for dancing and happiness. He had a maverick way of expressing his soul through the violin.

His popularity has earned him a reasonable amount of awards, the kinds that were more Class B in nature. His awards meant little to him. To him, they were relics of the past. He'd rather have his grandniece play with them than have them properly kept or taken care of.

Cheers
