From personal experience, it was always ok to mess up as long as you kept going as if you didn't make a mistake at all. By doing so, the audience won't be able to even tell. It's also better if it's something that the judges/audience aren't that familiar with.
It would be titled as 'Plagiarism' as someone is stealing someone else's work without their permission or consent.
