Explanation:

Appeal is the process in which cases are reviewed by a higher authority, where parties request a formal charge to an official decision.

The appeals process allows a losing party in a trial court decision to have their case re-tried again. Some decisions by federal administrative agencies are also subject to appeals. Both parties are able to appeal in a civil case, but the government is prohibited from appealing not guilty verdicts in criminal cases.

Hope this helps :)

How will you balance your power and the power of the society? this is for politics
Kay [80]

Answer:

The power of balance also lies therein that media and society will no longer be able to influence and control you through emotional manipulation.

Explanation:

The more I think about society, the more obvious it becomes to me that the majority of people are living a life that is not in balance. The imbalanced lifestyle aside, it is the (seemingly normal) polarization to the extreme that attracted my attention. It is apparent that the unaware masses simply love to turn towards polarization.

What type of mens rea might apply in each situation?
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

- The mugging of the police officer: purposeful

- The theft/disappearance of the fingerprints: knowing or negligent

- The arson: purposeful or reckless

Explanation:

Mens rea means "a guilty mind" as is required to prove a crime, along with actus reus (the criminal act). A purposeful mens rea means a crime was intentionally commited. A negligent mens rea is the failure to do what a reasonable person would do. A knowing mens rea means the potential result of a criminal act (such as lending a gun to someone who intends to shoot another person). A reckless mens rea increases risk to others, like driving under the influence.

Together, actus reus and mens rea form the corpus delicti or, both the criminal act and guilty mind.
