What would you do if you ever needed to cook a chicken
if y is the time required to cook the bird and x is number of chicken lbs

y = 20x when x ≤ 6
y = 15x when x > 6

To Graph:
Have the y-axis (minutes) go by 5's since slopes of both equations are multiples of 5. The y-axis, I would suggest go to atleast 150 minutes for a 10 lbs chicken. The x-axis is in lbs and can go by 1 lb marks.

Start with the first equation where the chicken is smaller than or equal to 6 lbs. (0,0) (1,20), (2,40) (3, 60), (4,80), (5,100) to 6lbs (6,120). If the equation is EQUAL TO the point and the line will be SOLID.

for the second equation, the chicken is larger than 6 lbs. Start with x = 6 but the point will be OPEN and the line DASHED because it's NOT EQUAL TO. (6,90) (7,105) (8,120) (9,135), (10, 150) .... and on arrow to show this

You are making fruit baskets using 54 apples, 36 oranges, and 73 bananas. a. Explain why you cannot make identical fruit baskets
GrogVix [38]
Question 1:
73 is a prime number. It can only be divided by 1 and by itself.

The GCF of the three numbers:
 54                               36                            73
1×54                           1×36                          1×73
2×27                          2×18
3×18                           3×12
6×9                            4×9
                                   6×6

GCF of 54, 36 and 73  is 1

GCF of 54 and 36 is 18

If we divide 54 apples into 18 baskets, we have 3 apples in each basket
If we divide 36 oranges into 18 baskets, we have 2 oranges in each basket
If we divide 73 bananas into 18 baskets, we have 4 bananas in each basket + one banana left over.

So the greatest number of identical fruit baskets we can make with the least amount of fruit left over is 18 baskets

DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND QUADRATIC APPLICATIONS FOR ALGEBRA 1???? PLS DONT RESOND IF YOU DINT KNOW
lilavasa [31]

Answer:

1 ) Vertex form.

2 ) Standard form.

3 ) I'm not sure about this one, but there are only 3 forms, in which the last one is factored form, and the other two are above, so it must be factored form.

Step-by-step explanation:

1 ) Vertex form : y = a( x - h )² + k

Vertex form shows you where the vertex(the lowest/highest point aka ( h, k ) ) of the parabola is, without graphing it. (But you could graph it and find the vertex like that, I recommend you use desmos graphing)

2 )Standard form : y = ax² + bx + c

Standard form can be used to show the y-intercept( aka c ), in this case, where the snowball was thrown from. (Again, you can graph it and find where he parabola hits the y axis)

3 ) Factored form : ( ax + c )( bx + d )

Factored form tells us the x-intercepts, or in this case where the snowball landed or how long the snowball is in the air. (like i said, you could graph it, and find the points(there could be only one or maybe none in some cases) that are on the x axis)

I know this was four days ago, but I hope this helped you understand a little better.

Omar, Hala and Lujain got paid a total of $240 for cleaning neighborhood cars. They split the money in the ratio of 5: 9: 10. Ho
Levart [38]

Answer:

Total amount Omar earn = $120

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total amount Omar, Hala and Lujain got paid = $240

Ratio of money Omar, Hala and Lujain got paid = 5:9:10

Find:

Total amount Omar earn

Computation:

Total amount Omar earn = [Total amount Omar, Hala and Lujain got paid][Omar'ratio / Total ratio]

Total amount Omar earn = [240][5 / (5+9+10)]

Total amount Omar earn = [240][5 / (24)]

Total amount Omar earn = [24][5]

Total amount Omar earn = $120
