What impact did World War II have on Americans at home? Describe at least two ways Americans' lives were impacted directly.
ohaa [14]

Answer:

Among morale-boosting activities that also benefited combat efforts, the home front engaged in a variety of scrap drives for materials crucial to the war effort such as metal, rubber, and rags. Such drives helped strengthen civilian morale and support for the war effort.

Providing supplies to American and Allied troops fighting the war in Europe, Africa, and the Pacific required the efforts of all Americans. At home, citizens contributed to the war effort by rationing consumer goods, recycling materials, purchasing war bonds, and working in war industries. :)

In what ways might European empire building be understood as a single phenomenon?
olga2289 [7]
It would be difficult and near impossible to see this as a single phenomenon and for it not to be seen as part of a broader process of colonization and imperialism at the time. However, one distinct feature of the colonies in North America was that there was massive migration of Europeans to these colonies whereas in other colonies at the time the migration was not as substantial. <span />
