Research participants’ uses occipital lobes when they are engage in tasks that require the construction of mental image. <span>The location of occipital lobe is in the back portion of the brain behind the parietal and temporal lobes that is primarily responsible for processing visual information. It contains the brain's visual processing system, which processes images from our eyes and links that information with images stored in memory or called visual-spatial processing. Other function includes movement and color recognition.</span>

<u>Answer:</u>

<em>Yes, researchers do engage the participant’s occipital lobe, when they engage in tasks that do require "construction of "mental image" representations". </em>

<em></em>

<u>Explanation:</u>

This is because, the "occipital lobe" is the visual centre of our brain. The "optic nerve" from eye goes there after forming the optic chiasma where the impulses are decoded, and searched for some previous relatable data linked with the image called visual spatial system. This is actually required by the scientists when they are involved in this type of researches.

For a species with a diploid number of 26, indicate how many chromosomes will be present in the somatic nuclei of individuals th
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

<h2>Haploid=13</h2><h2>triploid=39 </h2><h2>tetraploid=52</h2><h2>trisomic=14 </h2><h2>monosomic=12</h2>

Explanation:

Given;

A species with a diploid number of 26,  so 26= 2n ( a diploid cell),

so in haploid condition, chromosome number becomes half (13 in this case). triplod is when 2n + n, and 2n +2n ( tetploid). Trisomy and monosomy is the addition or deletion of a sinlge chromosome of a sinlge set  .

Haploid=13, one chromosome from each pair of chromosome set,

triploid=39 (13× 3); diploid+ n( 3n)

tetraploid=52 (13× 4) 4n

trisomic=14 (13+1) ; n+1

monosomic=12 (13-1); n-1

Ovules produced by an entirely green plant contain a rare mutation in a nuclear gene that is involved in chlorophyll synthesis,
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

The plant will produce less chlorophyll

Explanation:

The plant still has a functional allele provided by the paternal gamete, thereby the leaves have this enzyme required for chlorophyll biosynthesis. In consequence, the plant can produce chlorophyll pigment but in less quantity, since it has only a functional allele coding for a key enzyme involved in the chlorophyll pathway
