Chemotherapy is a powerful cancer treatment. The effects of chemotherapy on healthly cells are devastating and can cause them to die. Healthy cells can repair and reproduce, thanks to mitosis and cytokinesis, after treatment, but due to the effects of chemotherapy on healthy cells majority of the time chemotherapy is done on an arterial line that is going straight to the tumor to reduce the effects of chemo on healthy cells.
