African Americans were allowed to fight for the allies and gained recognition as well as respect for how well they excelled on the battlefield. They found that things remained the same when they returned home. They knew it was time to collect on the lives, injuries, and limbs they had invested in the war and seek what was really their right such as to vote, true equality; the right to the same education as all Americans.
Women had filled men's roles in the workplace during the war while the men went to fight the battles.

The only 2 African countries that were able to keep their freedom from European imperialism were;
B: Ethiopia and Liberia.
Ethiopia is currently the worlds oldest independent country and Liberia was founded to support the U.S. in relation to slavery in 1821.
