Answer:

The poet sees the British Empire as a force that will keep growing. It's as if he speaks to it (he uses the pronoun thy - an old word for your), telling it that its boundaries will keep spreading wider and wider.

Explanation:

The given lines are from the song Land of Hope and Glory - a British patriotic song composed by Edward Elgar in 1901. The following lyrics were written by poet Arthur Christopher Benson in 1902:

Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free,

How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee?

Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set;

God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet,

God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet.

The British Empire was the largest empire that ever existed. By 1920, it covered 24% of the Earth's total land area. Benson sees the British Empire as a force that will keep growing. It's as if he speaks to it (he calls it the Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free, and uses the pronouns thee and thy - old words for you and your), telling it that its boundaries will keep spreading wider and wider.

inn [45]

The instruction says that we should rewrite this sentence, placing commas where they are needed. The rewritten sentence has been shown below:

 • We are excited to announce that our town is going to build a new middle school. The building will have comfortable, spacious classrooms, with huge glass windows. The hallways will be long, wide, and colorful. The walls will have unique, vibrant murals painted by talented student artists. There will be modern science labs and a large indoor auditorium. It will be a welcoming, bright, and fun place to learn and grow.

Commas are important punctuation marks that are used in separating items in a list.

They prevent confusion during readings by properly grouping items. In the text above, commas were used to separate the items in a list.

For example, in the third sentence, commas were used to separate the adjectives that qualify the hallways.

In conclusion, commas were used to correctly separate words in the excerpt above.

In at least one hundred words, explain how survival might be considered a central theme in the frame story from 1001 Nights.
Ket [755]

In the story Sasanian the King of India and China, decided to marry a virgin every day and have her executed the next day, to avoid infidelity. The Vizier's daughter Scheherazade was forced to marry the king, because he was not able to find any other virgins. Survival for Scheherazade becomes the main objective in her tale telling to the king. Every night she would tell a story to the king and did not tell the end until the next night, therefore avoid her being executed, then the following night she would end the previous tale and started a new one and left the end untold. That process continued for 1001 nights.
