Answer:

Bought stocks on credit, thinking the value could only increase.

Explanation:

Currently the securities and exchange commission (SEC) defines buying stocks on credit as buying through a margin account. This was a very common before the 1929 stock crash since investors speculated that the price of stocks would keep increasing. The notion that the stock prices could fall was not something considered possible back then. So when the market stooped growing, and the price of stocks started to lower, investors couldn't pay their loans and even if the securities were held as collateral, their value collapsed. Some people made huge fortunes doing this, but others lost everything.

____ [38]

Answer:

Explanation:

The discount rate is the interest rate on loans that the Federal Reserve makes to banks. Banks occasionally borrow from the Federal Reserve when they find themselves short on reserves. A lower discount rate increases banks' incentives to borrow reserves from the Federal Reserve, thereby increasing the quantity of reserves in the banking system and causing the money supply to rise. The federal funds rate is the interest rate that banks charge one another for short-term (typically overnight) loans. When the Federal Reserve uses open-market operations to sell government bonds, the quantity of reserves in the banking system increases banks' demand for borrowed reserves declines, and the federal funds rate decreases

In an experimental study, the independent variables are usually the different controls adopted for the experiment. In the scenario above, the independent variable is the type of exposure to Geomyces destructans which each of the groups are exposed to. These variation in control in which the different groups are exposed to may result in different response within the group which is the change in WNS. The government is required to provide legal counsel to all federal defendants who are unable to afford their own attorney. True
Yanka [14]

The Sixth Amendment guarantees the right of criminal suspects to have an attorney defend them in court. This right does not depend on the defendant's ability to pay attorneys' fees. If the defendant cannot afford one, the government must provide one.

An amendment is a formal or official change to a statute, treaty, constitution, or legal document. It is based on the verb 'change' which means 'to change for the better.

Changes may add, remove or update portions of this Agreement. They are often used when it is better to modify a document than to create a new one. Only legislative bodies are involved in the change process.
